Our Beginnings
The Guillermo B. De Venecia Eye Center was founded by the De Venecia family in the early 1990s as the Free Rural Eye Clinic, attracting doctors from around the world to perform surgeries.
In 2014, CharityVision International, the largest eye surgical charity in the U.S., acquired the then seldom-used clinic to provide affordable eye care to the community while retaining the De Venecia name to honor Dr. Guillermo B. De Venecia's significant contributions.
Open five days a week, the center employs top eye surgeons from Luzon and has been DOH-approved and PhilHealth-accredited since 2016. It offers basic eye care, glasses prescriptions, cataract surgery, and YAG laser treatments.
Profits from the center support the Mabuhay Deseret Foundation, which has provided thousands of surgeries annually in the Philippines since 1987.
